Library Access: Reservation System

    QC Reservation Portal Fall – 2021

All visitors MUST have an approved booking to come to Rosenthal Library.

(NOTE: Due to COVID, bookings may only be placed for currently registered Queens College students, faculty, and staff at this time.)

 

  • Library stacks are open for browsing and the loaning of physical materials will resume at the Borrowing Desk during normal operating hours (Rosenthal Library Desk Hours: Monday-Thursday 9:00 AM – 6:45 PM / Friday 9:00 AM – 4:45 PMMusic Library Desk Hours: Monday-Thursday 10:00 AM - 4:45PM)

  • Reserve and Course Content materials will be loaned out for in-building use for 2 hours at a time on a first come, first served basis.

  • You must bring your own set of headphones and media device for use in the Zoom Rooms.

  • Your QCard doubles as your library card and is required for all check-outs. The QCard is also required to use our printing services.

Reserve & Course Content Loans: Reserve loans may not leave the library building. If you plan to check out a two-hour reserve loan, please place a booking for Rosenthal Library – Library Study Space so that you are ensured a spot in the library to use the material.

Full-Day Pass: Please note that for library Study Spaces and Computer Commons reservations, users MUST book a full day pass even if you do not plan to be on campus for the entire time. Zoom Rooms are designated for 3 hours per booking.

Bookings: You may reserve up to 5 bookings per week for Study Spaces and Computer Commons areas, and 2 bookings per day for Zoom Rooms. All bookings can be made up to 1 week in advance of the current day.

No Same Day Booking: There are NO same day bookings available for Rosenthal Library. Next day bookings must also be made by 7pm the day before. (Next day bookings placed after 7pm are subject to automatic cancellation.)

IMPORTANT UPDATES REGARDING CAMPUS ACCESS FOR FALL 2021

All individuals accessing campus must submit proof that they are fully vaccinated, or provide a negative test result from a CUNY-authorized COVID test 7 days prior to their visit, unless they have been issued an exemption by CUNY. Individuals with an exemption will need to test negative for COVID-19 on a weekly basis.

UPDATE: Beginning October 7th, ALL QC students without a CUNY exemption, whether taking in-person, hybrid, or remote classes, MUST be fully vaccinated and have their vaccination documents approved in CUNYFirst prior to their visit.

  • CUNY will only accept surveillance testing for unvaccinated individuals up till October 6th. Visitors who are unvaccinated will be required to provide proof of a negative CUNY authorized COVID-19 test, taken no more than 7 days prior to your date of visit. Please consider this when creating your library booking date.  See the COVID-19 Testing FAQ for more information and visit the CUNY COVID-19 Testing Site Location for a list of testing locations.

  • QCard ID – You MUST have your QCard ID to enter campus. If you need a replacement or new ID Card, visit Queens College's QCard page, or contact Public Safety at 718-997-5912.

  • Masks must be worn on campus and inside the library for both vaccinated and unvaccinated visitors at all times.
